This page explains what DTX Barber Academy ("we," "us") collects on dtxbarbersacademy.com and what we do with it. Plain words on purpose.

What we collect

When you fill out the founding-class form we collect your first name, phone number, optional email, the program and schedule you are interested in, how you heard about us, whether you are a veteran or military family, and your text-message consent. Our website host (Netlify) also records standard server logs such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit.

We also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies and collects things like the pages you view, how you got to the site, your approximate location, and your device and browser type. It does not collect what you type into our form. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout or by blocking cookies in your browser.

How we use it

To answer your request, to text and call you about tours, start dates, and enrollment, to send the information you asked for, and to keep track of where our students come from. If you check the text-message box, we will send you recurring text messages about your request, tours, and enrollment. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop, or HELP for help. Consent to texts is not a condition of enrollment.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your mobile phone number or your text-message consent with third parties for their own marketing. Mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The service providers who help us run the site, send messages, and keep our contact list (for example our website host, our texting provider, and our contact database) only use your information to provide those services to us.

Your choices

Text STOP to end text messages at any time. Email or text us to see, correct, or delete the information we have about you, and we will do it within 30 days. Contact: (214) 878-7022 or the address below.

Children

Our programs are for people 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
