About · since 2022
Mike Robles opened DTX Barbers on Bernal Drive with one rule: everybody who sits in the chair gets taken care of. The academy runs on the same rule.
"DTX Barbers started with a vision to bring quality cuts, genuine service, and opportunity back to the community that raised me."
Macario "Mike" Robles, founder
Mike Robles opened DTX Barbers in February 2022 at 4821 Bernal Dr in West Dallas. In his words: what started with a barber chair and a dream grew into a place where barbers can build their careers and clients can feel at home. Today it is more than a barbershop. It is proof that consistency, faith, and hard work can turn a vision into something bigger. A second spot on Dwight Avenue in Oak Cliff followed. The shop holds 5.0 stars on Booksy and Fresha and an A+ with the BBB.
The school is the next step for the same reason. "By opening the barber school, I want to expand that impact and help create the next generation of skilled, confident, and community-minded barbers." It is built on the belief that a successful barber needs skill, confidence, professionalism, discipline, customer service, business knowledge, and real relationships with clients and community. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation licensed the academy on September 11, 2026 (school license #706114). The first class of 12 starts October 5.
His promise to every student: more than technical barber training. Faith, vision, community. Keeping Dallas faded.

Students should be able to feel the room before they book: mirrors, stations, sanitation standards, and a working West Dallas shop environment behind the academy.

The neighborhood
Bilingual on the floor and in the classroom. Day and evening hours for people with jobs. Free parking. A student clinic that gives the neighborhood cheap cuts and gives students real heads. If you grew up around here, this is your school.

A serious student does not need hype. They need to know whether this fits their life, what happens when they show up, and what questions get answered before money ever moves.
Use this as a quick gut check before booking the tour.

The academy account is new, so the strongest proof right now is the DTX shop floor: real clients, real chairs, real Dallas content. Student work gets added here as soon as the first class is on the floor.
