Premium barber kit arranged for a student investment conversation

Funding check · no hype

Figure out the money before you commit

Tuition is only one part of the decision. Use this page to check Affirm financing, tools, workforce support, veteran timing, sponsor help, and whether a later cohort makes more sense.

Funding strategy

No federal aid yet. Here is what can help.

DTX cannot offer federal financial aid right now. These are the real ways students pay, and Mike will help you check each one before you decide.

01

Affirm

Apply at the shop and Affirm decides your amount and your terms. Tuition is paid off with the school up front, and you pay Affirm over time.

02

Workforce funding

Some students may qualify through local workforce programs or WIOA-style training support. Eligibility belongs to the workforce office, not DTX.

03

Veteran timing

Veteran and military-family benefits can have approval and school-timing rules. Ask Mike to check the timing before you build a plan around them.

04

Employer or family sponsor

A clean one-page tuition and kit quote can help a parent, employer, church, or sponsor understand exactly what they are helping fund.

05

Future federal aid

FAFSA-style aid only applies when a school and program are eligible. DTX is not eligible for federal aid right now, so it is not offered here.

Kit decision

Your tools, your pick, through our own supplier

Tuition does not bundle a kit. DTX runs its own barber supply, so you buy the tools you actually want at our cost instead of paying for a kit somebody else picked. Tools you already own are welcome, so nobody pays twice.

Tools through the DTX supplier
you choose

Nothing is bundled and nothing is marked up into tuition. Your tools are yours, and Mike helps you pick what is worth buying.

What you will need

  • Professional clipper, trimmer, guards, and clipper care basics
  • Cutting shears, blending/thinning shears, razor holder, and replacement blades
  • Barber comb set, sectioning clips, spray bottle, neck duster, and cape
  • Mannequin head, textbook/workbook, notebook, and portfolio photo checklist
  • Starter station basics: brush, oil, gloves, small disinfectant container, and personal storage

What DTX provides while you train

  • Clean towel flow and laundry for the founding class
  • Shared shop sanitation supplies and station reset standards
  • Supervised clinic setup when students are ready for clients
  • Kit review, tool approval, and replacement advice before money is wasted

What this is not

Not federal aid. Not an approval. Still useful.

Federal student aid only works when a school and program are eligible. DTX is not publishing FAFSA or Title IV aid right now, so the honest answer is pay in full, Affirm financing, possible outside funding, and a checklist Mike can review with the student.

Straight talk

No fake promise

We only name what is real today: pay in full or Affirm financing. No federal aid, grants, or approvals are promised unless they are confirmed in writing.

One-page quote

Make sponsors understand

Students can use the tour sheet with parents, spouses, employers, churches, or workforce offices because the tuition, kit, fees, and timing are separated.
